The Project deals with the study and the work done on the Motion compensated frame rate conversion and other Video Post processing algorithms as part of PS II project. It deals in detail about the frame rate conversion using motion compensation. The motion compensated frame rate conversion deals with the conversion of one frame rate to another by calculating the intermediate frame position and then interpolating according to the values obtained.

Also, techniques for effective mosquito noise removal, correct estimation of the length of the letterbox regions and scene cut mechanism are also discussed in the report. A modified Floyd Steinberg algorithm for error diffusion is also discussed. The modified Floyd Steinberg filter takes advantage of the HVS(Human Visual System) to obtain better results. Some of the results obtained by the application of the above-mentioned algorithms are also discussed. Finally, the Future work and the Conclusions are Discussed.
